I grew up in Iowa City and graduated from Regina High School in 1999. I then attended St. Ambrose University where I played baseball and graduated with a major in athletic training. I attended Palmer College and graduated in 2006. Shortly after graduating I was hired by the Palmer Chiropractic Clinics to work in the Chiropractic Rehabilitation and Sports Injury department. In this department I continued to focus on incorporating active rehabilitation into chiropractic care. In 2009 I was hired on as full time academic faculty where I now teach active and passive rehabilitation to students finishing their second year of academic work. We focus on evaluating movements and developing strategies to help the patient fix dysfunctional patterns of movement that cause pain. I am active in performing research at Palmer College and developing continuing education courses for doctors of chiropractic in the areas of rehab, therapeutic modalities, and sports performance. I am able to split my time between teaching at Palmer and seeing patients at Chiropractic Healthcare Associates. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife, Katie, and our black lab, Hank.
