Dr. Chris Bowers Christopher A. Bowers D.C.

I was born and raised right here in Cedar Rapids. I graduated from Kennedy High School in 1988. I was involved in most sports throughout my high school years. I received my A.A. from Kirkwood Community College and graduated Cum Laude from Western State College of Colorado in 1994 with a B.A. in Professional Biology (pre-med emphasis) and a minor in chemistry. From there life took me in many directions and after seeing the difference that chiropractic can make in the lives of so many I decided to enter Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2004 and graduated Cum Laude in February of 2008.

Since starting at Palmer I have seen so many miraculous things happen. Before I went there my son had many childhood ear infections and was on antibiotics for most of his young life. His doctor was recommending tubes be inserted in his ears. I started getting him adjusted and he has never had an ear infection since. That solidified my belief in Chiropractic and its benefits. I am thankful for my years at Palmer and the preparation it gave me. I know that when the nervous system is functioning at 100% that people heal faster, get sick less, and live healthier, happier lives. I am a member of The Iowa Chiropractic Society and The American Chiropractic Association. The techniques I use are primarily Palmer Package including Gonstead, Diversified and Thompson. I also utilize Activator Methods on occasion as well. I am currently studying as a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner and plan to utilize this in conjunction with the active care aspect of our rehabilitation program here at Chiropractic Health Care Associates. I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my son and watching him grow and participate in sports. In my free time I like to water/snow ski and play golf.

I truly look forward to meeting and serving you and your health care needs.
